The Coffee Quest: Costa Rica Origin Trip
We are proud to announce next year’s trip to Costa Rica together with Planting Costa Rica. This country has a long history of coffee production, and is always among the roaster favourite’s, in particular the clean specialty lot from the many Micro Mills. The end of February is perfect timing, not only for the cold winter times in Europe, but farmers are still harvesting, while there is already plenty of coffee to cup. The Coffee Quest aims to provide a nice combination of education at origin, sourcing options and getting to know Costa Rica’s culture.
Designed for coffee roasters who want to dramatically increase their knowledge of origin, while enjoying the natural wonders of Costa Rica.
The visits include; The CATIE Institute for coffee varieties, Micro mills in Tarrazu & West-Valley (e.g. Sonora and Las Lajas), Planting Costa Rica’s Bueyerito and ending at the beach and Natural Reserve Manuel Antonio for some well-deserved rest. The full itinerary will be online soon!
