Finca La Marbella is located in Vereda La Ermita, San Agustín, Huila, Colombia, and is managed by Edilser Rocha, a 48‑year‑old coffee producer.. The farm spans 3 hectares at 1,750 m.a.s.l., where Edilser cultivates Castillo, Colombia, Pink Bourbon, and recently planted Geisha. This lot is 100% Bourbon Rosado.
Edilser’s processing method begins with harvesting ripe cherries, which he leaves covered for 60 hours before de-pulping. After de-pulping, the coffee ferments in tanks with water for 36 hours. He then gives the beans a light rinse and dries them in a parabolic dryer for 10 to 15 days, depending on the weather.
Originally from Santander, Edilser Rocha grew up working with cacao and cattle. Forced to leave due to the armed conflict, he arrived in Huila 30 years ago and learned coffee growing from local producers. He purchased Finca La Marbella in 2005, and the whole operation is a family affair. Finally, in 2022 he began processing his Pink Bourbon lots separately, focusing on specialty quality.
We began working with Edilser and Finca La Marbella in 2024, and we are excited to keep building this relationship.
