Finca Las Moras in Guajiquiro, Honduras

Finca Las Moras is located in Guajiquiro, La Paz, Honduras, and is managed by Heber Hernán Ávila, a 39-year-old, third-generation coffee producer. The farm, named after the delicious blackberries (“moras”) grown in the area, spans approximately 4.2 hectares at elevations of 1,600–1,800 m.a.s.l. Here, Heber cultivates traditional varieties such as IHCAFE 90 and Catimor, as well as the prized Bourbon Sidra and Pacamara varieties.

Coffee, Blackberries, and Mountain Range

Heber Ávila began his coffee journey two decades ago, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. While part of Finca Las Moras is family inheritance, Heber expanded the family farm by acquiring nearby land.

With a sustainable approach to coffee growing, Heber supervises every step of the way… ensuring nothing goes to waste and reducing the farm’s water consumption.

We have been working with Finca Las Moras and Heber since 2025, and his expertise has us excited for what is to come.
